Towards Knowledge-based Society, seen through French Experience

Abstract

This present paper was written as partial reflection works deriving from the two document research projects, which are on: Chronological Landmarks of Cultural Heritages in the societies of Yesterday on one hand, and on the other hand; on French System of Education. Documentation of two mentioned projects were mainly guided by the book entitled “Education et Civilisations: Sociétés d’hier” by Professor Lê Thành Khôï, published in 1995 under the support of Unesco, and the rest of published elements from several sources as well as official documents related to evolution of French Educational System, as well as its results of development. The relevant contents herein presented include: presentation of learning societies through emergence and development of written traditions in regional areas of the globe at the beginning part; and presentation of edification of learning society described through implantation of schooling system in France at the dawn of 16th century.
