The Study of Buddhist Tourism Related to Spiritual Well-Being: A Case Study in the Old City Area of Bangkokyai, Bangkok

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the personal factors of tourists related to spiritual well-being: a case study of the old town area, Bangkok Yai, Bangkok, 2) study the behavior of tourists concerning their spiritual well-being, and 3) study Buddhist tourism related to spiritual well-being. The sample group of tourists in the old city Bangkok Yai, Bangkok was 400 people. The statistical method was frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test, ANOVA and Chi-square test. The results showed that 1) personal factors of occupational tourists and different monthly income affect spiritual well-being, which was significantly different at 0.05. 2) Tourist behavior was possible to return trip which is related to spiritual well-being (p value 0.05). 3) Buddhist tourism was significantly related to spiritual well-being (p value 0.05).
