The research integrated two fundamental pedagogical concepts: active learning and scaffolding. These concepts emphasized that learners think and engage in hands-on activities, fostering direct experiences through listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Additionally, they promoted interaction between instructors and students, as well as among students themselves. Instructors acted as facilitators, creating an environment conductive to self-directed learning while providing necessary guidance and support. This assistance was gradually reduced as students developed their competence until they were able to work independently. The synthesis of findings revealed that the academic report writing process for undergraduate education students based on the integration active learning and scaffolding consisted of six steps that included: 1) stimulating interest, 2) designing diverse activities, 3) exchanging experience, 4) practicing, 5) presenting learning outcomes, and 6) collaborative evaluation.
2025-07-03T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Dhonburi Rajabhat University https://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/journaldru/article/view/276024 Development of Problem-Based Teaching Techniques to Enhance Analytical Thinking Skills in General Education Courses for Students at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi 2025-01-30T11:18:03+07:00 Issara Siramaneerat issara_s@rmutt.ac.th Chalit Chaowilai issara_s@rmutt.ac.th Weerachat Phakdee issara_s@rmutt.ac.th Usana Aree issara_s@rmutt.ac.th
The research aimed to 1) develop problem-based teaching techniques to enhance analytical thinking skills in general education courses for students at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi and 2) compare analytical thinking skills before and after using problem-based teaching techniques in general education courses.
