บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยเป็นกระบวนการของการศึกษาตัวแปร การวิจัยทุกเรื่องจะต้องมีการศึกษาตัวแปรอย่างน้อย 1 ตัว ดังนั้นการออกแบบเกี่ยวกับตัวแปรในงานวิจัย จึงมีความสำคัญมากต่อความน่าสนใจ และคุณค่าของการวิจัย การออกแบบตัวแปรสำหรับการวิจัย เกี่ยวข้องกับการคัดเลือกตัวแปรสำคัญที่นำมาศึกษาในการวิจัย มีการวัดตัวแปรเหล่านั้นอย่างมีคุณภาพ และทำการควบคุมตัวแปรที่ต้องการศึกษาไม่ให้ได้รับอิทธิพลจากตัวแปรอื่น ๆ ที่ไม่ได้อยู่ในข่ายของการศึกษาให้หมดอิทธิพลไป ทั้งนี้เพื่อให้ผลการวิจัยมีความตรงภายใน และความตรงภายนอก หรือผลการวิจัยมีความน่าเชื่อถือ และเป็นประโยชน์ ถ้านักวิจัยสามารถดำเนินการได้เป็นอย่างดีแล้ว ผลการวิจัยย่อมมีคุณค่า คือความรู้ที่ได้ย่อมน่าเชื่อถือว่าเป็นความจริง และสามารถใช้ประโยชน์ต่อมนุษย์ได้อย่างกว้างขวาง เรียกว่าการวิจัยมีความสำคัญ หรือการวิจัยมีนัยสำคัญ
