Developing English Pronunciation Skills for Communication Using the Color Vowel® Approach with the ELSA Speak Application for Matthayomsuksa 1 Students at Navamindarajudis Thaksin School, Songkhla Province

Abstract
The research aimed to 1) develop English pronunciation skills for communication of Matthayomsuksa 1 students using Color Vowel® Approach with ELSA Speak Application, 2) study and compare English pronunciation skill assessment results before and after using Color Vowel® Approach with ELSA Speak Application, and 3) investigate the students’ attitude and satisfaction towards Color Vowel® Approach and ELSA Speak Application. The sample group was 36 students from Matthayomsuksa 1/6 who studied in semester 2 of the academic year 2023, which was selected by purposive sampling. The research instrument included the Color Vowel® Approach, ELSA Speak Application, lesson plans, an English pronunciation skill assessment form, and an attitude and satisfaction questionnaire. The data were analyzed by Mean (𝑥̅), Standard Deviation (S.D.), and T-Test Dependent Samples.
The research results were as follows: 1) English pronunciation skills for communication of the students after using the approach were higher than before, with statistical significance at the .01 level. 2) English pronunciation skills of the students after using the Color Vowel® Approach with the ELSA Speak Application developed a positive trend, with statistical significance at the .01 level, and 3) The students had attitude and satisfaction towards the Color Vowel® Approach with the ELSA Speak Application in the highly agree level.
