The Demand Analysis for Entrepreneurship Preparation Courses for People of all Ages Based on Entrepreneurial Economics Concepts and New Curriculum Development (NCD) in Digital Era

Abstract

This study is a developmental research aimed at 1) to study the needs of multi-age entrepreneurial courses. 2) To develop multiple entrepreneurial courses using online platforms and artificial intelligence 3) To compare the knowledge from both teachings during teaching through the online platform with the use of AI in teaching. The data collection tools included questionnaires and Paired – Sample T-Test . To analyze the data to achieve objective 3, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test were used. The data were collected from 181 course learners from 4 age groups: 1) 20-29 years, 2) 30-39 years, 3) 40-49 years, 4) 50 years and above, and from 3 occupational groups: 1) manufacturing industry, 2) trading industry, and 3) service industry. The purposive sampling method was used. The duration of the curriculum trial was 1 year.


            The research results can be summarized as follows: 1)The need for multi-age entrepreneurship courses is to seek additional knowledge (30.12%), followed by the need to increase knowledge and skills for modern work (29.09%) and the need to use knowledge to improve their own business/workplace (21.40%), respectively. 2) The developed multi-age entrepreneurship curriculum consists of 4 subjects: Procurement , Planning, Warehouse and Transport. 3) Teaching Method 2, which incorporates AI into teaching, results in learner achieving higher average scores than teaching Method 1. There are statistically significant differences between the two teaching methods with a high effect size indicating a clear difference between the two teaching methods. The results show that the introduction of new curriculum development concept and artificial intelligence into the stage of diversified entrepreneurial curriculum development provides great potential for digital curriculum development.
