Abstract

This article presents an analysis of Sakarin Krue-On’s artwork exhibited in “Solo Exhibition” at Tang Contemporary Art, China in 2018. His display was composed of four art pieces: “The Memorial of Awakening Era”, “A Talebearer’s Tale: The Last Deer”, “Upside Down” and “Sugar Bodhisattva” respectively.

An analysis found that the four art pieces have reflected upon the concept of worldly value, power and human occupation. Sakarin had emphasized on media selection and careful landscape exploration in both physical and historical terms, creating meaningful messages in consistent with the meticulously crafted art pieces. His art pieces were distinctive for object and environmental simulation, evoking the notion of simile interpretation and creating layers of meaning.
