Development of Learning Achievement in the Topic of Chemical Thermodynamics and Chemical Kinetics in Chemistry II Course using Collaborative Learning and Summarize Lesson Content by Mind Mapping
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of this research was to develop the learning achievement in thermodynamics and chemical kinetics in the chemistry 2 courses by using a cooperative learning management process and for students to connect the relationships of various topics in the topic of thermodynamics and chemical kinetics using mind mapping. The samples were 44 students of general science, Faculty of Education, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University in chemistry 2 courses. The research instruments were the learning management plan, achievement test and the collaboration behavior assessment form. The results of the research showed that the students can connect the relationships of various contents in chemistry by using mind mapping. The students with post-academic learning achievement were higher than before learning at the statistical significance of .05 level (t = -25.238) and the progressive index was less than 0.30, consisting of 3 people, representing 6.82%. The progress index is in the range of 0.30-0.49, consisting of 18 people, representing 40.91% and there are students with high development. There are 23 progress indicators, more than 0.50, representing 52.27%. An analysis of all student progress has found that learning development has increased by 34.62% and the student progress index of all students is 0.51 which is considered at a high level. Learning overall teamwork skills at a very good level at the level of 4.51 ± 0.53, the skills that the learners have the highest mean score are members of the learning group that depend on each other with an average score of 4.73 ± 0.45.
