Development of Instructional Package on Basic Programming in the Subject of Basic Programmable Controllers by Using the MIAP Format with Game-Based Teaching for the 2nd Year of Vocational Education Student of the Mechatronics Department

Abstract
The objectives of this research were 1) 1) to develop a teaching set on writing basic commands for the subject of Introduction to Programmable Controllers with MIAP learning process combined with game-based teaching 2) to find the efficiency of teaching and learning management on writing basic commands for the subject of Introduction to Programmable Controllers with MIAP learning process combined with game-based teaching 3) to compare the learning achievement of the learners before and after learning with the teaching set on writing basic commands for the subject of Introduction to Programmable Controllers with MIAP learning process combined with game-based teaching and 4) to study the satisfaction of the learners with the teaching set on writing basic commands for the subject of Introduction to Programmable Controllers with MIAP learning process combined with game-based teaching. The sample group of 21 2nd-year students from Programmable Controller subject of Mechatronics Department, Vocational Course, Nakhonsithammarat Technical College, in semester 2 of the academic year of 2019 was selected through cluster random sampling. The data gathering was conducted by instructional package, specialists, worksheet, job sheet, pre-test, post-test, practice tests, and satisfaction assessment. The data were analyzed to find the percentile, average, standard deviation, and t-test.
The results of the research showed that 1) the teaching set developed was of good quality at a high level 2) the efficiency of the teaching set on writing basic commands was at 83.93/80.36, which was higher than the 80/80 threshold set 3) the after-class tests were higher than the pre-class tests scores at the .01 level of statistical significance and 4) their satisfaction with teaching and learning was at the highest level.
