Abstract

This research was aimed to 1)compare the learning achievement and mathematics communication ability of grade 3 students using SSCS approach before learning with after learning. 2) compare learning achievement and mathematics communication ability of grade 3 students using SSCS approach after learning with the 70 percent criterion. The sample group for this research was 11 students of grade 3 students in the academic year of 2019 at Bankaeng Snamnang School, Nakhonratchasima Primary Education Service Area Office 6. The sample was selected using cluster random sampling. The research instruments consisted of 8 lesson plans with SSCS Approach, the achievement test, and the mathematics communication ability test. The percentage, mean, standard deviation of items, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, and t-test were used to analyze the data. The research findings showed that 1) learning achievement and mathematics communication ability of grade 3 students after using SSCS approach was significantly higher than before at .05 level. 2) learning achievement and mathematics communication ability of grade 3 students after using the SSCS approach was significantly higher than 70 % criterion at .05 level.
