Factors Influencing Admission to an Associate Program in Early Childhood Education at Songkhla Community College

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study the factors to further education in the Diploma of Early Childhood Education of Songkhla Community College. 2) To gather recommendations from people who involved in the decision to study in the Diploma of Early Childhood Education of Songkhla Community College in the academic year 2017-2019. The Samples were 140 diploma students in early childhood education at Prince of Songkla University and from interviews with relevant parties to study in the Diploma Program in Early Childhood Education totally amount 15 persons. Research instruments were analyzed using percentage, means, standard deviation, and qualitative data which were analyzed by content analysis.


The results showed that 1) The highest level of analytical results affecting the admission to the Diploma of Early Childhood Education Program of Songkhla Community College has been arranged with levels that influence the admission to the Diploma of Education. The overall result is at a high level. When considered each factors, it is found that mostly there is future expectation following by pride, curriculum, academic factors, and social economic factors 2) As Suggestions, the Community College Diploma Program in Early Childhood Education Should have a bachelor's degree program and increase public relations in both the admissions and the good presentation of current students to be accepted and well-known to the wider. In addition, the college should try further to open an undergraduate program.
