Administrative Model of Early Childhood Education: High Scope Education Innovation

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) analyze conditions of preschool institutional administration, applying high scope learning concepts, and; 2) create and develop an administrative model through high scope concept for preschool institutions for school executives by providing information and recommendations.  EDFR (Ethnographic Delphi Future Research) was applied in the study. The data were collected by interview 10 experts, followed by analyzing and synthesize the interview data to create 5 rating scale questions then, 20 experts were requested to provide information twice, followed by a focus group of 30 experts to develop a model. Finally, a participatory seminar was conducted for confirming, giving suggestions, and improving the gathered information. Descriptive statistics (median, mode, and interquartile range) were utilized to analyze the qualitative data. The results revealed that preschool institutional administration model for educational provision innovation by using high scope learning concepts including 1) systematic administration with 6 sub-components; 2) personnel administration with 6 sub-components; 3) environment management with 16 sub-components; 4) safety measures with 5 sub-components, and 5) networking and participation with 4 sub-components.
