Learning Activities on the Southern of Thailand for Flood Disaster

Abstract
Flood disaster in the southern part of Thailand is a problem that occurs every year. It also has severe impact and changes on the physical environment, economy and livelihood of the population. Therefore this study aims to arrange learning activities on the southern flood disaster topic.The objective of this study are : 1. Make the learners have a deep understanding of the flood disaster in the southern part of Thailand. 2. Provide Learners with knowledge, prevention skills and preparation for flood disaster preparedness in the southern part of Thailand. 3. Make the learners aware of the danger of flood disaster in the southern part of Thailand. 4. Encourage the learners to volunteer and participate in the prevention and resolution of the flood disaster in the southern part of Thailand. 5. Make the learners aware of the interaction between human and the physical environment by creating consciousness and the participation in nature resource management and environment for sustainable development. These can be implemented by using the Active Learning model that emphasis on child center approach which focus on five types as follows : 1. Problem-based Learning (PBL) 2. Case Study 3. Studio Based Learning 4. Guided Inquiry 5. Fieldwork. Each of these five types is accompanied by geographic skills. Apart from the active Learning model, we also implement teaching aids and authentic evaluation and assessment. So the learners can acquire the necessary knowledge through following the designed learning activities for flood disaster in the southern part of Thailand.
