Managerial Guidance for Community Learning Center of Bangpla Sub-District in Samut Prakan, Thailand

Abstract

This research aimed to study and propose the most suitable managerial guidance of community learning center for Bangpla sub - district in Samut Prakan province. Population of this research consisted of teachers both in public schools and Community learning center, leaders of community and people living in 15 villages of Bangpla sub-district, 379 respondents were sampled by stratified sampling technique based on sample size table of Krejcie and Morgan. Questionnaire was employed for data collection to survey the degree of agreement of respondents in managerial guidance proposed by researchers, then, focus group discussion was conducted based on information of this survey. Statistics in this research were percentage, mean, t - test, standard deviation, ANOVA and Scheffe's method.   This research found that respondents had high degree of agreement in proposed managerial guidance and the comments on 4 aspects of the proposed guidance from focus group discussion indicated as followings : 1. Staff. Staffs of learning center should be local people, and should be trained continuously. 2. Budget. Government and local government should provide proper annual budget to support learning center’s operation. 3. Device and venue. Learning center should provide adequate devices to support usage demand of clients. 4. Management. Committee should be formed by selected local people to participate in committee. Importantly, this committee should conduct missions of learning center transparently and systematically.
