The Strategy for College Administration Information Systems to Cope with the Problem of VUCA World at Surin Vocational College

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to : 1) to study the condition of the ecosystem at Surin Vocational College 2) to setup strategic planning for college administration with an information system to cope with problems 3) to enact the information system for college administration at Surin Vocational College and  4) to evaluate the operational results of the strategy. The methodology starts with a study of the condition of the ecosystem at Surin Vocational College. Then, strategic planning was used to interview the academic dignitaries who make-up the vocational college administrators. Finally, a summation of the interviews was conducted and corrections made to use in further group discussions. The result obtained is the strategy, which was used to conduct the five projects that followed. Finally, the representatives were involved in and aided execution and evaluation of the operational results of the strategy.  The research results revealed the following results. 1) The ecological condition of Surin Vocational College is as a resource for academic services, that can aid continual development of a career for the community and for society. The college community has a chance to participate and develop academically, and consequently to assist students with educational opportunities, knowledge, and professional skills. They should do this by doing research in the classroom and applying that research to develop teaching and learning processes, to improve general administration, and to develop information technology system more efficiently, 2) The college administration gave the overall results of evaluation to be at the “most” level in the use of the strategy which includes (1) The development of an information system to help administrate the college in times of VUCA World. (2) The promotion of a learning management strategy called “Team Learning” to be a continual learning organization. (3) To promote, or let, the teachers and personnel have effective operational methods (best practices). (4) To promote and support job creation in the community, 3) the results obtained from the execution of the information system have an overall evaluation at the “most” level in every project and 4) the results of evaluation show an overall evaluation at the “most” level in every project.
