The Evaluation of the Effectiveness of a Camping Project at Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus

Abstract

The main objective of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a camping project at Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus. This study assessed the following factors: context, input, process and product. The target group for this study consisted of 78 students who registered for the camping subject and joined the field training program in the camp at Krung Ching Waterfall (Khao Luang National Park), Nopphitam District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. A questionnaire was used to collect opinions about the implementation of the field camp project. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.79. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics including frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations. The results showed that the factors related to input, product, and process were appropriate at the highest level, with the average of 4.65, 4.62, and 4.55 respectively, while the context factor was appropriate at the high level with an average of 4.39.
