A Study of Project Approach Learning Experience by Using Phenomenon- Based Learning Provision to Develop Collaboration Skills of Young Children

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to study of project approach by using phenomenon-based learning provisions to develop the collaboration skills of young children. The target group in this study was 6 boys and girls preschool children aged four to five years in kindergarten at the second level in the second semester of 2020, in Nonthaburi Province by purposive sampling. The learning provision consisted of 3 phases: 1. Reviewing previous knowledge and creating interest in the studied phenomenon, 2. Developing the project by using inquiry-based learning in the phenomenon, 3. Summarizing the project from a phenomenon and reflecting on what has been learned. There are 5 stages, in each phase of the learning process, consisting of the group discussion stage, fieldwork procedures stage, presentation stage, research and working stage, and Exhibiting stage. The instruments used in this study were 2 phenomenon and 30 lesson plans of phenomenon-based learning provision, and the observing behavior assessment form of collaboration skills of young children. The quantitative data were analyzed by means, standard deviation, and qualitative data was content analysis and data source triangulation.
The study results showed that young children who participated in the project approach by using phenomenon-based learning provision had post-test mean scores both overall and each aspect higher with improved collaboration skills consisted of working with others both small and large groups aspect showed that young children could share ideas and information from learning experiences in both small and large groups higher, complaining with the rules and regulations according to the work process aspect showed that young children they could complain with the rules and regulations according to the work process and awareness of the participation of others showed that young children which could persuade others to work together.
