Development of Local Curriculum from Local Wisdom of Primary Schools under The Pattani Primary Education Service Area Office I

Abstract
This research aimed to 1) develop the local wisdom curriculum. 2) to study the outcomes of the students before and after the local curriculum implement. 3) toexplore the satisfaction of the students towards developed curriculum. The samples used in this research were Prathom 6 students from 30 schools under the Pattani Primary Education Service area offices 1. The instruments used in this study were developed local wisdom curriculums, pre-posttest and satisfaction evaluation. The data were collected by the researcher and were analyzed by means, standard division, t-test dependent and content analysis. The results were as follows : 1) 30 curriculums on local wisdom used with students under the Pattani Primary Education Service Area were developed. The components of the curriculum including, the concept, vision, learning outcomes, contents, course description, curriculum structure, time duration, instructional activities, and teaching plans of every curriculum were all appropriate and consistent with one another. 2) The learning outcomes of the 30 local wisdom curriculum before and after the curriculum implementation were significant different at 0.5 level which was in accordant with the hypothesis. The learning outcomes of every local wisdom after the implementation were at very good levels which were higher than those of before the implementation. 3) In overall, the students ‘satisfaction towards each of the local wisdom curriculums was at the highest level. When looking in details, the satisfaction towards the curriculum on Likeputri Performance was at the highest ( = 2.97, S.D = .10) whereas the curriculum on Kapiyoh Prayer Cap was at the lowest (
= 2.89, S.D = .31). The results showed that the curriculum were consistent with the students’ interests. The curriculum contents were interesting and understandable and the students could recognize the local wisdoms. All the learning activities were fun and work sheets were interesting. The learning management was well - organized and practical. The teaching materials were appropriate and the learning assessment were suitable with the learning activities.
