As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration for another journal.
  • The authors must certify that the journal article does not contain plagiarism and provide a complete list of references in accordance with the Ethics Code of References.
  • The format of the journal article must comply with the journal’s house style prior to publication and submission guidelines specified by the journal only. (in case the journal article does not correspond to the journal format, the Editorial Board may not consider its publication).
  • All authors must mutually agree to publish this article in JEPSU. Please specify every author's name and all email addresses in the Metadata in the system.
  • Authors must agree to the terms of the review of the article and be willing to allow the article to be assessed for academic quality by a qualified person (Peer Review), as well as agree to modify /edit the article according to the advice of the qualified person and as the Editorial Board deems appropriate.
  • Authors must provide an activated contact address and phone number on a text box to editors before submitting the article.

Submission Categories

              3.1 Research articles must be fundamentally conducted through a scientific method and process by an author him or herself or as part of a study or thesis, then concisely summarized to be a research article.

              3.2 Academic articles must be a specific issue and clearly explained according to academic principles. The articles may contain knowledge from various sources to be compiled and arranged for systematic analysis. There must be relevant literature to support until conclusions can be drawn about the analysis of those issues.

Editorial criteria and Processes

     5.1 The author must preparea manuscript precisely before submitting it for publication. Once the manuscript has been submitted to the system, the editorial staff will consider the following:

       5.1.1 Manuscripts of sufficient quality meet the aims and scope of JEDUPSU.

       5.2.2 Manuscripts contain proper structures and follow the Journal formatting requirements.

The results of initial screening will be sent to the author within two weeks after the manuscript submission. The author may be given two weeks to revise it in accordance with the comments on formatting or basic mistakes and resubmit the manuscript, however; preliminary consideration of acceptance or rejection before entering the quality assessment system is entire prerogative of Editorial Board.

     5.2 The author will receive Article Submission and Publication Fee Payment Forms once the Editorial Board has preliminarily reviewed the article. The Editorial Board will select experts and submit articles to experts for further consideration. It is also recommended that authors should not make payment before receiving the preliminary review results confirmed by the Editorial Board, as in case the article is not approved at the preliminary review, a refund will not be provided.

      5.3 When the article is sent to the Article Evaluation Process after it has been evaluated by qualified experts, the editor will process and notify the result of the acceptance or rejection.

In addition, if two or more experts mutually agree that the article does not pass the evaluation, the Journal refuses to accept the manuscript for publication in the Journal and reserves the right not to refund the publishing fee.

     5.4 When the Editorial Board received the revised article and the Article Revision Clarification Document, the article will be reviewed by editors to determine whether the author has improved the article. If the Editorial Board approves, it will pass the quality assessment for publication. The Editorial Board will send a decision email to the author of approval for publication in the Journal through an official system. (This booklet identifies the journal issue/published year of the article)

     5.5 An article submitted by an author for publication in the Journal of Education must not have been published before. If the author's article is published in the Journal of Education, the author must certify that the article will not be published elsewhere. Furthermore, if any misconduct occurs, the author is willing to take responsibility for this false.

      5.6 The Journal of Education reserves the right NOT to provide the Fast Tract Service

 

Publication Fess for the Journal

          1. Thai language articles Fees: 3,500 baht per article

          2. English articles Fees: 4,000 baht per article

*Remarks: 1. Authors are prohibited from paying before the editor confirms the preliminary review results.

  1. If the editor has notified the author to pay for the publication, but the article has yet to be evaluated for quality by a peer reviewer, the Editorial Board reserves the right not to refund all expenses.

 

Guidelines for Preparing Manuscripts and Submitting Articles for Publication

1. Criteria for Accepting Articles

     1.1 Authors can submit a manuscript for publication throughout the year or according to the period specified by the journal via the online journal system (https://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/edupsu/index)

     1.2 A submitted manuscript must be in the format of either an academic or research article.

     1.3 The Journal of Education Prince of Songkla University only accepts articles that comply with the guidelines or conditions specified by the journal.

     1.4 Every article published has to be evaluated for academic accuracy (Peer Reviewed) by at least 2-3 experts in the relevant field, using a double-blind review evaluation and receiving approval from the Editorial Board to be published after the author has made editing according to the recommendations of experts.

      1.5 Authors must certify that a submitted article will be published in the Journal of Education Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus. It is a manuscript that has never been published in other journals, and the article is not being considered for publication in another journal. If the article is published in the Journal of Education Prince of Songkla University, the author must certify that the article will not be published elsewhere. In case any misconduct is found, the author is willing to take responsibility for that damage since it is not the responsibility of the Editorial Board.

 

2. Manuscript Preparation

To guarantee a smooth publication process and a seamless transformation of your manuscript into the final layout and various electronic platforms, the manuscript needs to be structured as follows:

            2.1 Page Layout
            All text should be prepared in single- column and typewritten on A4 size with page number (font size 14 pt) at the top right of the paper.  It is also recommended to customize the page setup as follows:

          2.2.1 Top and bottom margin at 2.54cm

          2.2.2  Left and right margin at 2.54cm

          2.2.3 Line space1.0

              2.2 Number of Pages

              Each manuscript should not exceed 15 pages (including tables and illustrations, references excluded). It is recommended to use Microsoft Word Processing Program using TH SarabunPSK ONLY with font size at 12.5 points. For the Font size (pt), please refer to clause 2.3 below:

              2.3 Manuscript Format (Supporting information guidelines about the format of preparing the article entitled "Example of Manuscript Format Preparation" can be downloaded from the Journal Website) with the following details:         

              2.3.1 Title

              Title of the manuscript should contain a bold font size of 18 pt, centered on the page with concise, comprehensive, and clearly presents the content in both Thai and English.

                   2.3.2 Author

                   All authors’ name must be typewritten both in Thai and in English with a bold font size of 18 pt.              

                   2.3.3 Other additional Information of Authors

                   It is recommended to use a font size of 14 pt, specifying the highest educational background, academic position, or level of students under the department/discipline, faculty, department/university both in Thai and in English of all authors.       

                    2.3.4 Corresponding AuthorEmail Address

                    Manuscripts are recommended to use a font size of 12 pt to identify on an email of the corresponding author.

                    2.3.5 Abstracts

                    Chapter abstractsare strongly encouraged to use a font size of 16pt,both in Thai and in English (the content in the English abstract must be consistent with the Thai abstract), which do not exceed 300 words each.It should be typewritten in essay style of no more than 2 paragraphs.

                     2.3.6 Keywords

                     Text should be typewritten on a font size of 16 ptin both Thai and in English, minimum of 5 keywords, specified at the bottom of the abstract and put a comma (, ) between the words.

                    2.3.7 Content Formatting

                    All text in content chapter should be prepared in a font size of 16. Each line must be aligned to the left and right margin (Thai distribution). If there is a new paragraph, every paragraph row in the body must match except the heading paragraph.                            

                   1) Sequencing and heading must be arrangedin order of their component importance. (see article components in point 3 and apply the following guidelines)   

                  1.1) Headings, such as the Introduction and Objectives, should be formatted in bold, left-justified, and not numbered. Text as a new paragraph should be indented 1.50 cm from the left.

                 1.2) Sub-headings should be left-justified, in bold, and can be numbered. The text should either begin on the same line with the sub-heading or begin as a new paragraph as appropriate.           

                  1.3) In the event that the sub-heading is numbered, the sub-sub heading must also be numbered after the subheading features, such as 1.1, 1.2, or 2.1, 2.2, etc. The text should begin on the same line as the sub-sub heading.        

                  1.4) If there are more headings after the sub-sub heading, a new line paragraph must be indented 2.50 cm and use the same principle indentation as the subheadings with numbered topics such as 1.1.1, 1.1.2 or 2.1.1, 2.1.2. However, overused sub-sub headings are not recommended.      

                 1.5) If there is a new indentation, it must match the first letter of its heading, and the text on the following line should be aligned to the left margin.

                        2) Punctuation and Spelling

                        2.1) Manuscripts should be single spaced.

                        2.2) Either American or British spelling and punctuation are acceptable but chose one and use it consistently throughout the whole article, except for quoted material.

                        2.3) Footnotes (if any) should be figured in a 12 pt font and listed at the bottom of the page and left margin.         

                        2.3.7 Tables (if any) should be in a 16 pt font on the left margin, and number tables consecutively using the chapter number (e.g., Table 1.1 for the first table in chapter 1). The table caption must begin on the following line in italics and ensure that all tables are sequentially cited in the text.

                        2.3.8 Figures and Illustrations (if any) should be in a 16 pt font on the left margin and numbered using the chapter umber (e.g., Fig. 1.1 for the first figure in Chapter 1) and ensure that all figures are cited in the text in sequential order. It is recommended to give each figure a concise caption on the following line in italic. If a figure is reproduced from a previous publication, include the source as the last item next to the caption.

                       2.3.9 References should betypewritten in a 16 pt font and left-justified. All the references given in the list of references should be cited in the body of a text, using the APA reference writing style (7th edition); authors must translate all references in Thai into English and add the word [in Thai] as the last item next to the reference, and they must be in English alphabetical order.

                        1) In-text citation

                        When using APA format, follow the author-date method of in-text citation. This means that the author's last name and the year of publication for the source should appear in the text, like, for example, “(Maitreephun, 2019)” or “Maitreephun (2019)”. One complete reference for each source should appear in the reference list at the end of the paper.                  

                         In case you are directly quoting or borrowing from another work, you should include the page number at the end of the parenthetical citation. Use the abbreviation “p.” (for one page) or “pp.” (for multiple pages) before listing the page number(s). Use an en dash for page ranges. For example, you might write (Maitreephun, 2019)”, p. 199) or (Maitreephun, 2019)”, pp. 199–201)

                        2) writing references at the end of the article

  • Use a font size of 16 pt and align the text to the left.
  • Documents used for reference should not be older than ten years (except laws, regulations, and curriculum theories that can still be referenced)
  • APA reference format (7th edition) is required.
  • Authors are encouraged to list all references in alphabetical order A-Z.
