The Process of Empowering Chinese Language Teacher Students in Northern Rajabhat University Towards the Characteristics of Strength Chinese Teachers

Abstract
The main objective of this research was to develop the process of empowering Chinese language teacher students towards the characteristics of strength Chinese teachers. The research study was divided into 2 phases: 1) to analyze the data obtained from interviews with 125
participants to determine the current and desirable conditions of strength Chinese teachers'characteristics for Chinese language teacher students at Northern Rajabhat University; and 2) to develop and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the empowering process by assessing the quality of the process developed from 12 experts and the sample groups in the process consisting of Chinese language teacher students from the first year to the third year (a total of 45 volunteers)
at Lampang Rajabhat University. Data were collected using interviews and assessment forms, descriptive statistics, analyzing the Needs Index (PNIModified) and one sample test t-test were used to analyze the data.
The results of the research found that 1) present Chinese language teacher students in Northern Rajabhat University should be developed and empowered in order to achieve the highest level of proficiency in Chinese language, 2) empowering process was developed into a training course concerning the potential of the students according to their age, namely the" Proficiency in Chinese language" course for the first year, the "Creative Thinking" course for the second year, and the "Integrated Learning Management" course for the third, each of which was developed to a high standard, and 3) Students who participated in empowering process had
significantly higher Chinese language proficiency, creative thinking skills and integrated learning management skills than the specified criteria at the .01 level.
