The Effects of Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use on the Purchase Intention of the Artificial Intelligence Services of Employees in Northeast of Thailand
Keywords:
Perceived usefulness, Perceived ease of use, Purchase intention, Generative AIAbstract
This study aimed to: 1) analyze the direct effects of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use on the purchase intention of employed individuals in the northeastern region of Thailand toward generative artificial intelligence services, and 2) examine the indirect effects of e-service quality, trust, and enjoyment on purchase intention through the mediating variables of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. The sample consisted of 260 employed individuals in Nakhon Ratchasima and Khon Kaen who were interested in or had used generative artificial intelligence services at least once. A multistage sampling technique was employed, and data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using structural equation modeling.
The results showed that the proposed model demonstrated a good fit with the empirical data (= 258.45,
/df = 244, p-value = 0.25,= 1.06, CFI = 1.00, NFI = 0.95, GFI = 0.93, TLI = 1.00, AGFI = 0.90 RMSEA = 0.02, RMR = 0.02). Perceived usefulness (
= 0.71) and perceived ease of use (
= 0.35) had significant positive direct effects on purchase intention. Additionally, e-service quality and enjoyment indirectly influenced purchase intention through the mediating roles of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. These findings suggest that providers of generative artificial intelligence services should enhance system quality to strengthen users’ perceptions of usefulness and ease of use, as well as create enjoyable user experiences to support long-term commercial.
