The Innovation for Seasonal Fruit Processing of Producers at Buriram Farmer Market in Thailand 4.0 Era

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to manage knowledge of the model community in the processing of organic produce in Buriram province, 2) to develop innovative processing and increase value form organic vegetables and 3) to raise the level of organic agriculture to generate income from the processing of organic produce for prosperity, stability, and sustainability. The researchers applied a Participatory Community- based Research method by analyzing qualitative data, quantitative data, and techniques for a participatory learning process. The population was members of Buriram Farmers’ Market. The samples consisted of 24 families of Buriram Farmers’ Market members obtained through Simple Random Sampling from members who regularly participate in the actives. The research instruments were a set of questionnaire, in-depth interview, and small group discussion. The statistics used to analyze the data were percentage, standard deviation, and content analysis. The research results were found that guideline for developing a productive innovation, and value-added from organic vegetables was to create an innovation to preserve food and to keep food quality longer than usual named Solar Incubator.
