Increasing the efficiency of participatory information technology for database development on community waste management processes in Ban Yang Subdistrict Administrative Organization Mueang Buri Ram District

Abstract

This research aimed to study the villagers' garbage dispositions, the problem of using of information technology to dispose the garbage in various areas, to study the ways to improve the use of participatory information technology and to develop a suitable community waste management database in the Ban Yang Sub-district Administration Organization, Mueang Buriram.  The first group of villagers used a simple random sampling method getting a total of 400 volunteers; the second group consisted of administrators and officials responsible for information technology in the local administrative organization, the village headman 30 headman assistants. The equipment for this research was a questionnaire survey, interview and group discussion. The statistic used for this research was percentage, mean and standard deviation. The result was found that the villagers had knowledge about garbage at a high level. The problem of using information technology was   the program lacked of full information content and processing problems
