Development of Protection and Defense Mechanisms for the Children experiencing the household violence problems in Muang District, Buriram province

Abstract

This research aimed to study the problem of protection and protection of rights as well as the guidelines for developing the mechanisms to protect and safeguard the rights of children who suffered from the violence in Muang District, Buriram Province. The samples used in the study were as the first group was 50 parents, second group was 50 children using the purposive sampling and third group was 15 persons involved to solve the problem. The instruments for this research were the questionnaires and interviews. Statistics used were percentage, mean and standard deviation. The research results were found that the most common cause of violence against children was the failure of economic management in the household such as the income, the expenditure and the occupation, next problem was when the children met the danger, the people often waited for other people to contact the police and next problem was the use of force to persuade, encourage or allow children to show or conduct a pornographic. For the guideline for solution to the problem, it should train the extra career, the training about the money management, the Knowing of Child Rights Protection Law.
