Social Welfare Needs of The Elderly in the Areas of Ban Yang Sub-district Administrative Organization, Maung District, Buriram Province

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study social welfare needs of the elderly provided in the area of Ban Yang Sub-district Administrative Organization, Muang District, Burirun Province in four aspects: Health and medical care, Housing and Education and Income. The samples consisted of 333 elderly people in the area of  Ban Yang Sub-district Adiministrative Organization, specified by the table

of Taro Yamane. The research instrument used for collecting the data was a 3-part questionnaire, including check list, 6-rating scale, and open-ended form. It's reliability was 0.9000 The statistics used for analyzing the collected data were frequency percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results of this study revealed that:

                 Social welfare needs of the elderly in the area of  Ban Yang Sub-district Administrative Organization, Muang District, Buriram Province were overall found at a high level. Having considered each aspect, it showed that all aspects were also found at a high level. Moreover, On the revenue side, followed by education and housing. On the average, with the lowest health and healthcare, respectively. For comments and other suggestions The highest number was supposed to have additional benefits for the elderly, The second was supposed to be a car-serving seniors. Go to hospital Without service charge And should have various activities And provide tourism For the elderly respectively.
