Italy’s membership, Eurozone Crisis and the possibility of “Italeave”

Abstract

This article aims to explain the problems that Italy is facing today such as economics and other internal problems which may be the cause or the tendency that force Italy to leave the European Union. This article will analyze the possibility of Italy leaving the EU (so called “Italeave” or “Italexit”) by using the basic information about Italy’s economics, politics and the background of Italy joining the ECSC (which become the European Union nowadays) as a data base. Also this article will analyze the crisis that EU are facing today which may cause Italy to feel uncertain and no longer trust the European Union as it was before. Moreover, this article will also analyze the nationalism wave in global politics and the realist attitude, which are very proverbial nowadays, whether it might persuade Italy to leave the EU. Also, this article will present the basic information about Italy’s internal problems and the Eurozone crisis as another database to analyze the possibility of Italeave or Italexit, along with the personal view of the author on what Italy might decide. And at last where could the Eurozone crisis lead Italy to.
