Abstract
The purposes of this descriptive research were to study the correlation among factors and learning behavior in physical education course and to find good predictors that could predict the
student’s learning behavior in physical education course (general education) of Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus. The samples were 542 and randomized by stratified random sampling. Data were collected using four questionnaires : Personal factors, Attitude, Teaching management, and Learning Behavior in Physical Education. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson product moment correlation.Pearson’s product-moment correlation,and stepwise multiple regression analysis to determine the factors affecting physical education behavior in general education course.
The results were summarized as follows: 1)correlation coefficients between personal factors, attitudes, and teaching management affecting Student’s Learning Behavior in Physical Education Course (General Education) of Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campusfounded the correlation coefficients ranged from - 0.010to 0.655 and there were significantly different at the .01 level,2) the results found that seven predictors; learner, measurement and evaluation, instructor, Action tendency, teaching and learning activities, knowledge, and theoretical courses with the Multiple correlation coefficient (R) was at 0.79 and the predictive power was at 62.80 percent, a standard error of prediction was at 0.30. They could be written inthe prediction equations in raw scoreand standard score were as follows:
Y' = .643 + .226 (X21) + .166 (X22) + .154 (X18) + .127 (X15) + .095 (X17) + .080 (X13) + .069 (X10)
Z = .302 Z (X21) + .187 Z (X22) + .174 Z (X18) + .161 Z (X15) + .119 Z (X17) + .078 Z (X13) + .067 Z (X10)
