Factors Encouragement of Safety in the Operation of Personnel Operating in the Industrial Sector , the Case study in Muang District, Buriram Province

Abstract

The objective of this research was to examine the organizational factors,
individual factors, and environmental factors affecting the safety promotion of the
personnel’s operations in the industrial sector. The sample group consisted of 5 executives
from enterprises and 200 operational personnel in the sector was selected by using
purposive sampling. The interview was used with the executives and a set of questionnaire
form was used with operational personnel for data collection. The data were analyzed
by using Regression Analysis. The results showed that the organizational factors, individual
factors, and environmental factors had the positive effects on the safety promotion
of the personnel’s operations in the industrial sector, respectively. The body of knowledge
in implementing innovations in the organizations offered safety in the personnel’s
operations. The individual factors were the factors which were difficult to control: time
is required for making the changes in the people’s behaviors and for having safety
awareness when performing the operations.
