Referencing Requirements and AI Usage Guidelines
Posted on 2026-01-12The Journal of Architecture, Design and Construction (JADC) hereby announces revisions to the manuscript preparation requirements as follows:
1. Use of B.E. and C.E. in References
To ensure consistency and uniformity in referencing, the Journal stipulates that:
1) Thai-language books must use B.E. (Buddhist Era).
2) Other Thai-language sources must use C.E. (Common Era).
3) All non-Thai sources must use C.E. only.
4) The use of B.E. and C.E. must not be mixed within the same reference entry.
All references must follow APA 7th Edition (JADC-adapted version).
2. Ethical Guidelines on the Use of AI
If authors use AI tools in manuscript preparation, such tools must be used solely as supportive instruments. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of the entire manuscript.
The use of AI to generate fabricated data or unverifiable references is strictly prohibited.
These requirements shall take effect from 12 January 2026 onward, or for articles published in Volume 8, Issue 2 (2026) onward.
Manuscripts that do not comply with these requirements may be returned to authors for revision prior to entering the review process.
