The Journal of Architecture, Design and Construction (JADC), published by the Faculty of Architecture, Urban Planning, and Creative Arts, Mahasarakham University, is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the advancement of high-quality research, scholarly discourse, and innovative knowledge in the fields of architecture, design, and construction. The journal offers a platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and students both within the university and beyond. The journal provides an opportunity to contribute original research, critical analyses, and interdisciplinary perspectives that enhance theoretical and practical understandings in these disciplines. Furthermore, JADC is committed to strengthening its academic standing and aims for inclusion in the Thai-Journal Citation Index (TCI) to expand its impact within the scholarly community.

          3. To bridge the gap between academic research and professional practice, providing insights that are relevant to architects, engineers, designers, and other professionals in the field.

The Journal of Architecture, Design and Construction (JADC) is a quarterly journal, publishing three issues per year.
          - Issue 1 is published during the period of January to April.
          - Issue 2 is published during the period of May to August
          - Issue 3 is published during the period of September to December
The journal has been designed to meet the standards of a national-level publication, with the aim of achieving recognition in the Thai-Journal Citation Index (TCI) database.


The journal is now accepting submissions for consideration.
          - Manuscript submissions are now open, starting from this moment onward.


Reviewing Process

          - Each manuscript will be reviewed by a panel of three qualified reviewers through a peer review process to ensure the quality and academic rigor of the journal.
          For manuscripts submitted by authors from outside Mahasarakham University, the manuscripts will be reviewed by two internal reviewers and one external reviewers to ensure a comprehensive evaluation.
          For manuscripts submitted by author from Mahasarakham University, the manuscripts will be reviewed by qualified reviewers from external organizations.

All submitted articles undergo an initial screening conducted by the journal's Editorial Team and/or the appointed Guest Editors. A double-blind peer review process is employed in our journal, ensuring both the authors and reviewers are anonymous to each other.

 

Publication Fees

          - A publication fee of 1,500 THB per article applies to manuscripts submitted by faculty members and students of Mahasarakham University.

          - A publication fee of 3,000 THB per article applies to manuscripts submitted by contributors from outside Mahasarakham University.
          - Authors will be informed to submit the publication fee at the rate specified by the journal once their manuscript has been approved for peer review. Payment must be completed within 15 days of receiving the notification.         

           - Payment should be made via bank transfer to Siam Commercial Bank, Mahasarakham University Branch.

          - The journal will initiate the evaluation of your manuscript by the expert reviewers once we receive the payment proof.

Manuscript Evaluation Timeline
          - Research and academic articles will undergo an initial quality assessment by the journal's editorial team, which typically takes approximately 15 working days. If the article is deemed insufficient in quality, it will not proceed further, or the authors may be asked to revise it before consideration for publication.
          - Articles that are deemed suitable and of sufficient quality will be sent for peer review to three reviewers, selected based on their specialization in the relevant field. The review process will take approximately 15 working days.
          - Once the reviewers have completed their review, the editorial team will inform the author of the decision within 3 working days after receiving feedback from all three reviewers.
          - If revisions are required based on the reviewers' suggestions, the author must address the necessary changes. Failure to do so will result in the manuscript not being published. The revision process should be completed within 10 working days.


Criteria for Manuscripts Evaluation
          - Research and academic articles will undergo an initial evaluation by the journal’s editorial team, assessing both the quality of the manuscript and its compliance with JADC's formatting guidelines. If the article does not meet the required standards, it will not proceed to the next stage, or the author may be asked to make revisions.  Articles that meet the necessary quality standards will be forwarded for peer review to at least three reviewers, chosen based on their expertise in the relevant field.

          - Once the reviewers have completed their review, the editorial team will inform the author(s) of the result.
          - The author is required to make the necessary revisions based on the reviewers' suggestions. Failure to do so will result in the manuscript being rejected for publication.
          - Once the revisions have been made according to the reviewers' suggestions, the editorial team will review the article's content for completeness and ensure it adheres to the journal’s formatting guidelines. The team will also verify that all images used in the manuscript meet the required resolution for publication.


Guidelines for Preparing Manuscripts
          - The manuscript should be a research or academic article with a length not exceeding 15 pages on A4 paper, following the formatted according to JADC03-Template (5x18.5). The template can be downloaded at: Template.
          - The manuscript must not be under consideration for publication by any other publication or have been previously published in any journal. It must not infringe on any copyrights, nor should it involve plagiarism or the unauthorized use of others' research.

           All sources must be appropriately cited, following the APA 7th edition referencing style. Both Thai and English text should be written in the TH Sarabun PSK font, with the following font size specifications:
          1. The article title should be in bold with a font size of 18 pt.
          2. The author's name should be in regular font with a size of 16 pt
          3. Main headings should be in bold with a font size of 14 pt.
          4. Subheadings should be in italic font with a size of 14 pt.
          5. The content under main headings and subheadings should be in regular font with a size of 14 pt.
          6. The content within tables should be in regular font with a size of 14 pt.


Publication Readiness Review
          - Authors should verify the readiness of their manuscript using the "JADC Manuscript Checklist Thai" file.
          - The JADC Manuscript Checklist Thai file should be submitted along with the manuscripts.


Manuscript Submission Process
          - Register as a JADC member to access the website click here. Follow the user instructions for the ThaiJO 2.0 system (for authors), which include the following details:
               1. Register for journal membership (Author Register): For users who do not have a Username or Password in the ThaiJO system)
               2. Manuscript submission
               3. Wait for the status review and acceptance/rejection notification via email or the ThaiJO system.
