The development of a Electronic Document Management System of the Clerical Officer for Faculty of Architecture, Urban Design and Creative Arts, Mahasarakham University

Abstract

The Electronic Document Management System of the  Clerical Officer for  Faculty  of  Architecture,  Urban  Design  and Creative  Arts,  Mahasarakham  University has been developed to improve the document database system in the faculty. The document search process has also been developed for teachers and staff through the Internet. The documents in the faculty were classified into two groups; Inward Missives, and Outward Missives. The system facilitates ways to develop a new internal document transmission process in the faculty, a monthly conclusion report showing the document quantity and unreceived documents. Moreover, the Electronic Document System covers all document systems of the faculty. Hence, the reports can be briefed to the dean for future decision making. The system was analyzed and designed by using the cycle of system development. Furthermore, PhpMyAdmin was used to manage a database system together with Sublime Text to write program, and PHP language to write and create the website.
