The results showed that the young women were influenced from beauty ideals in the society and culture of North Thailand both abstractly and literally which made them chose to construct their beauty through beauty drinks. It was found that their experiences could be categorized into 4 various forms; 1) consuming one type of beauty drinks, 2) consuming altogether with other types of beauty drinks, 3) consuming with other supplements, and 4) consuming altogether with using of other beauty methods. Furthermore, their provided symbolic meanings of beauty drinks as a drink that increases their beauty and the praises towards it, an elixir of life that slows down signs of ageing, a tool that helps boast their confidence, something that increases their charm and attraction towards the opposite sex, a symbol that represents self-care, something that helps bring good health, and mental support that motivates them. After consuming, their individual definitions were changed accordingly with the changes of their body. By eliminating the labels of being black like Southern people and looking cool being big and black, they then embraced the beauty definition of being slim and white like a Northern woman. As for individual definitions that followed accordingly with the consummation of beauty drinks included self-definitions as perfect North Thailand women, being modern and being their own agency. Therefore, they had the agency that chose to use beauty drinks in constructing of their beauty in accordance with the expectation of their own and of the North Thailand society.
