Development of Law on Conservation Management of National Park

Abstract

The objective of this research is to amend and add the provisions of the law on conservation and management of national parks. The research method used in data collection and analysis is qualitative research. It consists of Documentary research; In- depth interview; Participatory Design, Co - Design; and Hearing. The result of research showed that the existing national park management is not able to fix the problem of encroachment, waste and wastewater, which affect the ecosystem in national park. Therefore, the National Park Act B.E. 2562 shall be amended with the legal structure consisting of Definitions, Powers and duties of the National Park Committee, National Park Management and Penalties. The research suggests that the National Parks Act B.E. 2562 (2019), Section 4, Section 16 (1) shall be amended and Title 1/1 - National Park Management - Sections 25/1 to Section 25/13, and the penalties under Section 46/1 and Section 46/2 shall be added as per the legal structure derived from this research.
