Publication Ethics

Duties of  Journal Editor

  • The Editor must notify the latest submission procedure clearly to the authors and the public.
  • The Editor is responsible for ensuring the quality standard of the published materials based on the importance, originality, clarity, and scope of the journal materials.
  • The Editor, editorial board members, and staff should have no conflicts of interest with the author(s) and reviewers.
  • The Editor must encourage academic integrity by ensuring the material not be duplicated or plagiarized.
  • The Editor must keep the information of the authors and the reviewers confidential during the review process.
  • The Editor must act if he/she suspects authors’ possible misconduct. However, the editor cannot reject that suspected material unless they investigate the allegation reasonably. The suspect(s) have the right to clarify their truth. In case the editor can prove their misconduct, that article will be rejected or removed from the journal database.
  • The Editor must be responsible for significant inaccuracy, misleading statements, or distorted reports. The material must be corrected promptly. Given that the proven evidence indicates the authors’ misconduct, the editor must remove that published or unpublished one and inform the readers.
  • The Editor should respond promptly to complaints and ensure that there is a way for dissatisfied complainants to take complaints further in case the author(s) are not satisfied with the editor’s decision.

Duties of Reviewer(s)

  • Reviewer(s) must keep the confidentiality of the material they assess during the review process.
  • Reviewer(s) have no conflict of interest with the authors. Providing that reviewers involve with either author or the material or any reason they feel unable to be impartial, they must inform the editor immediately of their status and decline the review request.
  • Reviewer(s) should assess the manuscript that they expertise in that field objectively while realizing the quality of academic papers and reasonability.
  • Reviewer(s) ensure the academic standard and academic ethics. Providing that reviewer(s) suspect the author’s misconduct, they must inform the editor promptly and show the editor the proven evidence. 

Duties of the author(s)

  • Author(s) must submit the original manuscript that has never been published before or considered for publication with other journals.
  • Author(s) must avoid plagiarism. In case of using the others’ information, the author(s) must cite their works in accordance with the journal’s citation guideline.   
  • Author(s) must follow the journal guideline.
  • Author(s) who appear on the manuscript should involve in producing the material.
  • Author(s) must inform the detail of the funding resources that supported this work, including the relationship with the author(s).
