General Information and Background
Journal of European Studies (JES) is published by Centre for European Studies (CES) at Chulalongkorn University and certified by Chulalongkorn University Council, Thailand. JES is aimed to publish academic articles, in the fields of Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Legal Science, Economics, History, Arts and Cultural Studies, that focus on Europe including its relations and roles in the world. Both Thai and English articles are accepted. JES is scheduled to publish two issues a year at the end of June and December. The first volume is published in 1993 and the first peer-reviewed volume is published in 2019.

Purposes for Publication
JES is published in order to provide the platform in which scholars, students as well as the public can share knowledge and views in the field of European Studies. The objectives of which are to enhance, develop and disseminate the knowledge of the said field to the general public, especially those living in Thailand and South East Asia.

Abstract
JES is an interdisciplinary journal in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities whose aims is to publish high-quality articles, in the fields of Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Legal Science, Economics, History, Arts and Cultural Studies, with the focus on Europe including its relations and roles in the world. Research articles, non-research articles and book reviews both in Thai and English are accepted.

Publication Schedule
JES is scheduled to publish one journal every six months and there will be two issues each year. The first issue of January to June will be published at the end of June and the second issue of July to December will be published at the end of December. Starting in Vol 25 No 1 (2562), JES will be publishing 4-6 selected articles in each issue. However, JES may publish special or additional journals according to the occasion.

Peer-review Precedure
JES has been adopting double-blinded peer-review procedure in the article selection process since the first issue in Vol 25 No 1 (2562). Submitted articles must be reviewed by two reviewers. Selected articles must be labelled as “passed” or “needs to be modified but does not need to be reviewed again” where the author has to improve his/her own article in accordance with the reviewers’ comments.

JES and the published articles as well as other components of the journal is under the copyright of Centre for European Studies (CES) at Chulalongkorn University. Therefore, the acts of reproducing, copying, modifying and publishing for commercial purposes without the authorization of CES is prohibited.
