The Study of Characteristics and Standard Competencies of Students Participating Teaching Professional Experience Internship from Educational Technology and Computer Education Program, Faculty of Education, Mahasarakham University based on Opinion of Educational Institution Managements and Mentors

Abstract
This study was conducted to study characteristics and standard competencies of
students participating teaching professional experience internship from Educational
Technology and Computer Education Program, Faculty of Education, Mahasarakham
University based on opinion of educational institution managements and mentors. Target
group was total 55 persons, including 17 educational institution managements such as
directors, deputy directors and heads of departments related to the students’ studying
programs, and 38 mentors who were responsible for supervising the students participating
teaching professional experience internship. This study used 5-rating-scale questionnaire as
research instrument. Average and standard deviation score were applied to analyze
1. Desirable/Special Characteristics: Average score from the educational institution
managements on students’ behavior was in the highest level ( = 4.92). Average score from
the mentors was also in the highest level ( = 4.78)
2. Characteristics based on standard of learning outcome in specific subjects
(Teaching profession): Average score from the educational institution managements on
students’ behavior was in the highest level ( = 4.83). Average score from the mentors was
also in the highest level ( = 4.67)
3. Characteristics based on standard of learning outcome in specific subjects
(Educational Technology and Computer Education major): Average score from the
educational institution managements on students’ behavior was in the highest level ( =
4.79). Average score from the mentors was also in the highest level ( = 4.94)
4. Results of Student Competency Survey based on Professional Standards B.E.
2556 (2013) of Teacher Council of Thailand: Average score from the educational institution
managements on students’ behavior was in the highest level ( = 4.75). Average score from
the mentors was also in the highest level ( = 4.74)
