INTEGRATION OF BRAHMA VIHARA DHARMA TO PROMOTE GOVERNMENT LEADERSHIP OF LOCAL RULERS IN NONG BUA DAENG DISTRICT, CHAIYAPHUM PROVINCE

Abstract

The research components were as follows: 1) to study the level of integration of Brahma Vihara Dhamma principles to promote administrative leadership of local rulers, 2) to compare the integration of Brahma Vihara Dhamma principles to promote administrative leadership of local rulers, classified according to personal factors and 3) to present the integration of Brahma Vihara Dhamma principles to promote administrative leadership of local rulers in Nong Bua Daeng District, Chaiyaphum Province. The research method was the combined method. The qualitative research collected data from 9 key informants and the quantitative research collected data with questionnaires from 399 samples. The tools were questionnaires and interview formats. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The hypotheses were tested by t-test and F-test. and the data were analyzed with description.

The findings of the research were as follows: 1. The level of integration of Brahma Vihara Dhamma principles to promote administrative leadership of local rulers overall was high ( = 3.79, S.D. = 1.02). 2. The comparisonof the people’s opinions found that the people with different sex and educations had no different opinions while those with different age, occupations and income had different opinions with statistical significance at the 0.05 level. 3. The presentation of integrating Brahma Vihara Dhamma principles found  that 1. As for the characteristics according to the principles of Brahma Vihara Dhamma,  the local rulers should had morality in ruling. 2) As for behavior according to the principles of Brahma Vihara Dhamma, the local rulers should have loving-kindness for the people. 3) As for the situations according to the principles of Brahma Vihara Dhamma, the local rulers should adapt themselves to update, having long visions in ruling. 4)  As for changes according to the principles of Brahma Vihara Dhamma, the local rulers should change and develop the community and compromise modern and old ideas helpful for developing organizations and communities thoroughly and equally.
