Theoretical Relationship and Appearance of Numbered Musical Notation and Western Music Notation

Abstract

          This study is qualitative in nature. The two goals of this documentary investigation are as follows: 1) to study the relationship between Numbered Musical Notation and Western Music Notation in theory and their appearance, and 2) to categorize and organize the relationship between Numbered Musical Notation and Western Music Notation by employing scientific process skills, namely observation skills, and classification skills through the use of Western Music theory as a foundation for synthetic analysis for the results of the study.

          From analytical studies and synthesize the relationship between Numbered Musical Notation and Western Music Notation in theory and appearance. It was found that theoretically, the relationship between Numbered Musical Notation and Western Music Notationwas related in all respects. Visually, there are four differences: note, rest notes, pitch, and pitch markers, categorizing and arranging the relationship between numerical and universal notes. It can be categorized into 5 categories: 1) notes, stops and pitch, 2) chords, 3) Key Signature, Time Signature, and Tempo, 4) Dynamic and Accidentals, and 5) Bar Line and Repeat Sight
