บทคัดย่อ
Development of Morality, Ethics, and Desirable Values Development of TOA Wittaya School’s Students (Municipality 1) in Nangrong District, Buriram Province By Using Added Activities
This research aimed to : 1) investigate the results of morality, ethics, and desirable values development of TOA Wittaya School’s students (Municipality 1) in Nangrong District, Buriram Province; and 2) study and compare the satisfaction of teachers, students, and parents with this development. The samples were 383 students of level 2 studying in the 1st semester of 2552 B.E., 16 teachers and 383 parents in the total of 782, selected through stratified random sampling technique. The research instrument was a 3-part questionnaire including check list, rating scale, and open form with the reliability value of 0.981. The results were as follows.
1. The results of morality, ethics, and desirable values development of TOA Wittaya School’s students (Municipality 1) in Nangrong District, Buriram Province according to the teachers, parents, and students’ opinions both as a whole and at each aspect were at high levels. The teachers and parents strongly agreed that the school developed the students’ discipline most while the students pointed out that the school developed the students’ honesty most.
2. The satisfaction of the teachers, parents, and students towards this development both as a whole and at each aspect were at high levels. The most satisfaction was the sense of obligation development and the second was discipline while the least mean score of satisfaction was economy.
3. The comparison of the teachers, parents, and students’ satisfaction towards the morality, ethics, and desirable values development of TOA Wittaya School’s students (Municipality 1) showed statistically significant difference at .05 level.
4. The opinions and suggestions about the morality, ethics, and desirable values development of the three most frequency found in each aspect were : 1) Honesty: the rewards should be provided for the students who did not take other property to be their own, were honest in their working, and were loyal to their benefactors; 2) Discipline: students should have self-discipline while they were using the school canteen, they should wear school uniform all the time and dress tidily every day; 3) Generosity: teacher should teach students every day to be a kind person, be kind to animals and be generous to other people: 4) Sense of obligation: students should be grateful to their parents and teachers, teachers should train the students about this every week, and students should always help parents do the chores; 5) Economy: teachers should encourage students to save money in the classroom, and spend money wisely; and 6) Responsibility: students are reasonable for their homework and chores, they should get up early and help their parents’ housework, and go to school in time.
