Tujia Folk Transmission: A case study of the master artist who conveyed the Tujia song of the nation In Tongren City, Guizhou Province, China

Abstract

This article, “Tujia Folk Transmission: A case study of the master artist who conveyed the Tujia song of the nation In Tongren City, Guizhou Province, China” aims to study the process of transmitting Tujia Folk Songs in Tongren City, Guizhou Province, China. Data was collected using a qualitative method. At Yanhe Tujia Autonomous Region, Tongren City, Guizhou Province, China By collecting information from artists who are regarded as master artists who broadcast the national Tujia song, 1 person is Mr. Wang Bo and a student of 5 people, namely Mr. She Qianlong , Mrs. Wang Ling Ling, Mrs. Jiang na, Mr.Tian qimin and Mr. Zhang Jiahong. Used interview and observation methods. The results of the study found that:

          The transmission of Tujia folk songs has 4 steps; 1) Introduction: The lyrics are prepared for teaching and distributed to students first, and the teacher will sing to the students to listen first. 2) Teaching (body). Then teach one sentence at a time. By having students sing along as students can sing, they continue to teach the sentence until the end of the song. The students were taken to study in real places, 3) the conclusion, the instructor tell student sang the whole song as a summary, reviewing the contents of the study, and 4) the assessment process to sing one by one by the teacher who determines which paragraph to request, and the students were taken to the actual stage to perform.
