Design and development of woven sedge bag product for the Ar-cheep Satri Ban-wa group, Khon Kaen province.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to Guidelines for design and development of the woven sedge bag product of the Ar-cheep Satri Ban-wa group, Khon Kaen province.

      Sample group in research is foreign tourists 50 people and Local people 50 people. Wants to buy the products from the Ar-cheep Satri Ban-wa group, Khon Kaen province. Tool used in research is a questionnaire want side different of the target audience have confidence equal to .930 statistical analysis was performed by percentage. Average mode and questionnaire to evaluate satisfaction in the field of use and in marketing of the woven sedge bag product in the process evaluation choice and in the evaluation process, compare with the original souvenirs by the questionnaire 2 copies have confidence equal to .830 and .784 respectively.  Statistical analysis was performed by means of percentage mean and test the hypothesis with the t-test statistic for dependent sample.

      The research concludes that: 1) There are 3 approaches to designing the bag from sedge woven product: the first approach is suitable for buying for relatives, siblings and friends, the second approach is suitable for buying for family members, and the third approach is suitable for buying for bosses and elders. The target group was most satisfied in the second approach. 2) The producer group and the target group were more satisfied with the new type of the woven sedge bag product than the old one in all aspects at a statistically significant level at .05 in terms of use and marketing.
