Ethics and the Buddhist Principle for Local Administrator

Abstract

Ethics and the Buddhist principle are related to local administrators in such a way that they can be used to regulate and drive the operations of local government organizations in order to achieve good governance. The main objective of this academic article is to conduct a literature review on the ethics and the Buddhist principle as they apply to an adequate local administrator. Local administrators’ ethics can be divided into three categories: behavior, knowledge and intelligence, and morality. Furthermore, the Buddhist principle of local administrators should be followed as a guideline, which consists of three principles: Brahmawihan IV, Good Faith III, and Supremacy III.
