Abstract

Research Article namely An Integrative Guideline of Buddhist Ecotherapy for Non-Communicable Disease (NCDs) is to propose an integrated guideline of Buddhist Ecotherapy for the NCDs. The research is qualitative research of mixed method by using the In-depth Interview and Participatory Observation with documentary research. As the result, an integrated approach of Buddhist Ecotherapy for the NCDs, it derived from the concept of Thai Traditional Medicine and a conceptual treatment of Dr. Boonchai Isarapisit, MD to apply with the concept of Buddhist Ecotherapy based on 3 Insight Knowledge found in Four Noble Truth viz. learning, operating and evaluating. This will contribute to the holistic development of physical, mental and social and that means morality, concentration and wisdom or the so – called ‘BPS Therapy’. ‘B’ stands for Biological guideline; it consists of food, exercise, relaxation, medicine and to reduce risk factors i.e. smoking, drinking alcohol. ‘P’ stands for the Psychological guideline, to be mindful, to have an analytical thinking, to have an unshakable faith, and to build the mental immunity by practicing meditation – tranquility development and insight development in order to reduce all defilements and understanding the world as they are. ‘S’ stands for Social and environmental guideline that we should reward to society by sharing knowledge with loving-kindness, in return, the nature will give purity, safety to all human life.
