A Content Analysis of Competence for Democratic Citizenship Through the Concept of Phra Thammakosachan Buddhadasa Inthapanyo (Buddhadasa Bhikkhu) That Appeared in Buddhadasa Studies Strand Surat Thani Province

              The objectives of this research were to analyze contents of competence for democratic citizenship through the concept of Phra Thammakosachan Buddhadasa Inthapanyo (Buddhadasa Bhikkhu) that appears in Buddhadasa studies strand and to study the consistency between the competence for democratic citizenship and academic standards that appears in Buddhadasa studies strand. Research instruments were content analysis form for democratic citizenship competencies and analysis form for the consistency between democratic competency content. The research found that (1) the content of competence for democratic citizenship appeared in all five Buddhadasa studies strands and the most common competency was the competency in knowledge and critical understanding with a frequency of 49 sentences. The next competency was the skill competency with a frequency of 24sentences. The third competency was the attitude competency with a frequency of 15 sentences and the least competency was the value competency with a frequency of 6 sentences. (2) The consistency between the competence for democratic citizenship and strand and academic standards that appears in Buddhadasa studies strand found that the first strand and academic standards had a total of 4 aspects with a frequency of 29, 30.85 percent, value (IOC) equal to 0.99. The second strand and academic standards had a total of 4 aspects with a frequency of 23, 24.46 percent, value (IOC) equal to 1. The third strand and academic standards had a total of 4 aspects with a frequency of 11, 11.70 percent, value (IOC) equal to 0.95. The fourth strand and academic standards had a total of 4 aspects with a frequency of 20, 21.27 percent, value (IOC) equal to 0.92. And the fifth strand and academic standards had a total of 4 aspects with a frequency of 11, 11.70 percent, value (IOC) equal to 1.
