Abstract
This paper is the study of the culture of learning English language for business communication among university students in Thailand 4.0 era. This research project aims to: 1) Study the culture of learning English for communication between Thai and Chinese students at the university level. 2) Study the differences of the culture of learning English for communication between Thai students and Chinese students. The samples of this research are the fourth year students at the undergraduate level who study English as a foreign language at Rajamangala Univerity of Technology Lanna, and from Beijing University Beijing Language and Culture College and the Beijing Foreign Language University in the year 2016. The research instrument was a questionnaire adapted from The Grasha-Riechmann Student Learning Styles. The result showed that Thai students and Chinese students have a different culture of learning English for communication at the university level. 2) The cultural contexts of the university in relation to the culture of learning English for communication between Thai and Chinese students are different. Thai students applied the Basis of Potency to their education and if helped them achieve their learning goals.
