Deciphering Buddhist Leadership from Patient Treatment Methods in Tipitaka

Abstract
This article aims to present the deciphering of Buddhist leadership from the patient treatment Tipitaka. The ๕ principles of Buddhist leadership were found: ๑) learning the different nature of the members in organization like those who take care of patients who are difficult and easy to cure; ๒) Daring to face and manage problems and obstacles in management like a person who takes care of patient, he must know the correct remedy and un-disregard feces, urine, vomiting or sickness of the patient; ๓) Creating encouragement and pride for the organization members by ๓ principles: mind-monitoring, mind-encouragement and mind-regulation; ๔) Looking at problems as a way of wisdom and crisis as an opportunity like the Lord Buddha used sickness as a teaching tool; and ๕) acting as a model for the majority in accordance with the method of the Lord Buddha in caring for patient himself and suggesting that those who want to take care of him could take care of sick monks.
