Abstract

The research article regarding promoting the performance of Abbot’s leadership efficiency for integrative Buddhism has the research objectives: 1) to study principles for the performance of The Abbot’s leadership in Thai society, 2) to study Buddha Dharma in promoting The Abbot’s leadership with efficiency, and 3) to present The Abbot’s leadership efficiency in Buddha Dharma with methodical order such as study from documentations and interview 12 monks/9 people. The results of the research are The Abbot’s leadership in Buddha Dharma divided into 2 categories as follows: 1) Leadership- Abbot should have compassion to monks, novices and people to lived happily. Have a pity in helping them from unhappiness and pleased to see them happy or success in their lives. Have the mind of justice, neutral, not to settle with bias, never aggravate those who made a mistake, 2) Efficiency in performing duty – Abbot must have devotion in carrying out duty for the happiness of majority by sacrifice themselves with hard work, bravely, enthusiastic, committed, dedication, responsible, carefully aware, consider the strong and weak point to develop and improve the work. When Abbot apply principle of four sublime states of mind and four paths of accomplishment to integrate the promoting of efficiency, then only one can reach the knowledge with morality in performing Sangha’s affairs with more efficient.
