Abstract

This article is part of the dissertation on “The Buddhist Model for fostering the honesty of the children by family”. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of using the Buddhist Model for fostering the honesty of the children by family. The research methodology was Mixed Research Method which consists of Qualitative Research and Quasi-Experimental Research. The sample consisted of 10 families, each of which has a 9-10 years old child. 10 parents, one of each family, were interviewed while the 10 children were examined in the experiment of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The qualitative data was analyzed by content analysis, percentage, mean, standard deviation and sign test. The results show that children have significantly expressed more honesty towards themselves and others than before fostering the honesty of children, with statistical significance level 0.01. The quality of the Buddhist Model for Fostering the Honesty of the Children by Family is found good and very good.
