Abstract
This academic paper is a part of research entitled ‘A Development of The Foundation of Mindfulness in Walking Meditation Posture According to Seven Contemplation Principle’ The research results found that foundation of mindfulness development refers to ever-reminding to mental objects based on 4 foundations of mindfulness to see the true state of forms and name throughout 4 gestures; standing, walking, sitting, lying. It was categorized in posture section (Āriyāpathapabba) in foundation of mindfulness in bodily contemplation grouped in Bodily Aggregate which was object of insight meditation. Contemplations are the process of wisdom training aiming at realization, knowing, comprehending characteristics of true state of mentality and forms as really are based on impermanence, unsatisfactory, and non-self. It is the way to observe the mental objects, manners of 4 elements which are clearly visible in the present moment of consciousness and all mental formations; feeling, mentality and all mental objects at the present moment. That is to say, it refers to those who have achieved trance then practiced until the mind became skillful then began to contemplate on three manners of all formations, observing the truth along with that trance state and components of meditation according to 7 contemplations.
