Participation and Civil Society Networks Influencing Creative Product Development in Mueang Samut Sakhon District, Samut Sakhon Province

Abstract
This research aimed to study the participation and structure of civil society networks related to creative product development in Mueang Samut Sakhon district, and to develop prototype creative community products through participatory processes of civil society networks. The research applied a mixed-methods approach under the participatory action research (PAR) framework. The sample included 300 participants from eighteen villages and 50 key informants from government agencies, local administrations, and community enterprises. The research instruments comprised questionnaires, interviews, and participatory workshops. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis. The results indicated a high level of community participation, particularly in decision-making and implementation stages. Civil society networks demonstrated strong collaboration among government, private, and community sectors. The participatory creative product development process resulted in prototype products, including “Tilapia Pizza” and “Herbal Fish Food Product”, reflecting the integration of local wisdom with innovation, responding to market demands and creating sustainable added value for community resources.
